YouthBuild Providence has an application and screening process for all participants.

Interested individuals must complete the online application and request an information session to meet with one our recruitment staff members.

If the applicant does not have access to the internet, they should visit our office to apply in person:

Monday - Thursday

9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

or by appointment by calling (401) 273-7528 x. 113.

Applicants need to bring the following

• State of Rhode Island ID or Driver License
• Birth Certificate
• Social Security Card
• Proof of income

If under 18, applicants must also bring

• Drop out letter from the Providence School Department
• Parents proof of income

Currently, YouthBuild Providence is a participant in a national study to learn how and whether YouthBuild helps the young people it serves. To have an opportunity to enroll in the YouthBuild program, applicants will need to attend an orientation where they will learn more about the program and the study. Not everyone interested in the program will be able to enroll. Enrollment in the program will be based, in part, on agreeing to participate in the study and a lottery (much like drawing names from a hat).
